Rates:
Rates are per person for a seven-night stay, with six days of riding. Sunday is our horses’ holiday. Rates include lodging, meals, riding, hiking, fishing, and all ranch activities, but do not include the State of Montana accommodations tax or the crew gratuity. Shorter stays with a minimum of four nights may be possible depending on availability (for example, if we have guests staying 10 days and a 4 day period is left in a week). All 4 night stays must begin or end on a Sunday.
Our rates for adults vary depending on the accommodations. There are special rates for children, with no charge for kids under 4, and reduced charges for kids age 11 and under. Please check on the “Rates” tab to see the current vacancies.
We offer discounts for groups of 10 or more, weddings, and guests who are in the military. All return guests receive a 5% discount off the current rates, and we have a non-rider rate of $1250/person/week.
Extras and Specials:
Sweet Grass Ranch is pleased to offer a week with photography workshops and two weeks with 3-day horsemanship clinics that will take place at the cattle ranch (guests stay at the Bar B). The horsemanship clinics and photography workshops are during 3 days during your 7-day stay, so that you can participate in regular ranch activities, too. Please contact us for availability on these workshops. The 3 day horsemanship clinics will be located at the cattle ranch or the Bar B, which is a small ranch facility between the cattle ranch and guest ranch. It has incredible views, offers some riding opportunities on the cattle ranch, and has wall tents, tipi, and a lean-to for lodging.

Airports and Transportation:
Sweet Grass Ranch is equidistant from Bozeman and Billings, Montana. The ranch can meet flights into Gallatin Field in Bozeman or Logan International for $200 extra round-trip for your group (provided you and your luggage fit in one vehicle). If you do wish us to provide transport, we cannot meet flights after 4:30 p.m. or prior to 10:30 a.m., as the ranch is approximately 2 ½ hours each way and we may be transporting other guests, as well.
Booking and Deposits:
Please give us a call or email to make reservations. Reservations are confirmed upon receipt of a 50% deposit, with the balance due on the day of your departure from the ranch. We accept personal check, money order, wired funds, VISA and MasterCard. A discount of 2% applies to non-credit card payments.
State of Montana accommodations tax: 7% on room portion of stay only.
Gratuities are not mandatory, but are appreciated at the customary rate of 10-20%.
Cancellation Policy:
If you must cancel your reservation and do so by April 1, then one-half of your deposit will be refunded (provided you paid the full deposit), if we can re-book the accommodation with the same number of guests or pro-rated if we are able to re-book but with fewer guests. After April 1st, deposits are non-refundable. However, we will do a one-time roll over of the deposit to the following summer if you are able to re-schedule your travel plans. We recommend travel insurance to cover any cancellations. A number of companies offer travel insurance, so please feel free to contact any of them.
